In September 1999, Chapel Off Chapel became the venue for the iconic live music series, Live at the Chapel – a unique experience, born and bred in Melbourne. With its stained-glass windows shimmering in the background and magnificent acoustics, the sheer aura of the Chapel created an experience which was intimate, raw and beautiful.
Between 1999 and 2015, audiences were treated to exclusive performances by some of the biggest names in music including international acts such as Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga, John Mayer, Coldplay, Live and Noel Gallagher, as well as local artists like Crowded House, Jet, Jimmy Barnes, Midnight Oil, The Veronicas, Jessica Mauboy, You Am I, and many more.
Broadcast on TV, radio and online, Live At The Chapel quickly became Australia’s premier live music event series, revered by artists and music fans alike. The performances provided numerous stories to ‘dine out on’ for years, countless “you shoulda been there” moments, and garnering tens of millions of views on YouTube and other socials.
There’s no live music venue in this country quite like Chapel Off Chapel… and there’s never been a live music program as unique as Live at the Chapel.
